Michael Jordan Baseball Card Leads This Week's Top Sales

This week’s top sports card sales list brings together modern stars, vintage icons and one of the most unusual Michael Jordan cards ever made. At the top is a 1995 Upper Deck SP Top Prospects Michael Jordan autograph card, a baseball issue featuring Jordan in a Birmingham Barons uniform. The card sold for $525,000 through REA on September 1, 2026, and headlines a list that also includes Shohei Ohtani, Mickey Mantle and a key 1933 Goudey Nap Lajoie card.

The mix is a reminder of how broad the hobby’s strongest sales can be. A modern autographed rookie-era issue, a classic Mickey Mantle, a historically significant prewar card and a Michael Jordan basketball rookie all found major buyers within the same week.

5. 2018 Topps Heritage Shohei Ohtani Red Ink Auto /69 BGS 9.5, Auto 10

Shohei Ohtani opened the list with a 2018 Topps Heritage Red Ink Auto numbered to 69. The card received a BGS 9.5 grade with a BGS Auto 10 and sold for $105,200 on August 30, 2026, via eBay auction.

Ohtani remains one of the most prominent names in the modern hobby, and his signed cards continue to draw strong attention across multiple products and grading combinations. This sale shows that even outside the most obvious flagship rookie issues, premium Ohtani autographs can still reach six figures when condition and autograph grades align.

4. 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle #311 PSA 3

The 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle remains one of the most recognizable cards in the hobby, and it returned to the top sales list with another notable result. A PSA 3 copy sold for $110,100 on August 30, 2026, via eBay.

That price comes after a much larger Mantle sale last week, when a PSA 8 copy with an MBA Silver Sticker sold for $3,721,000 and finished second overall. This week’s PSA 3 example still landed in the top five, underscoring the enduring demand for the card regardless of grade.

The same card also appeared on the list two weeks ago in PSA 7 form, when it sold for $417,450 on August 16, 2026. Few cards in the hobby maintain this level of visibility across so many different condition levels.
