Rare Kobe Bryant-LeBron James Dual Logoman Card Enters Public Auction

A one-of-one 2007-08 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Kobe Bryant-LeBron James Dual Logoman Autographs card has reached the auction block for the first time after spending nearly two decades in a private collection.

The card, numbered DL-BJ, opened for bidding Friday through Alt and quickly moved past $2 million. It features an NBA Logoman patch worn by each player along with blue-ink autographs signed directly on the card. James also added a “23” inscription below his signature.

Alt says the card had not previously been offered publicly, even though a small number of dual Logoman cards pairing Bryant and James are known.

What Makes The Card So Significant

The card is a true one-of-one and combines two of the most collected basketball players of the modern era. Bryant spent his entire 20-year NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers, winning five championships. James has won four titles and became the league’s career scoring leader.

Upper Deck certified both patches as game-worn. The card surfaced in the spring of 2026 after reportedly remaining ungraded since its release. It was later submitted to PSA and received a PSA 8 NM-MT grade in August.

Because the card pairs Bryant and James on a single Exquisite Logoman autograph issue, it sits among the most desirable basketball cards ever produced. The combination of game-worn memorabilia, on-card autographs, and one-of-one status is exactly the type of format that has driven some of the highest prices in the hobby.

Why The 2007-08 Season Matters

The card’s 2007-08 issue date ties it to a pivotal year for both players. Bryant won the only NBA Most Valuable Player Award of his career after averaging 28.3 points per game and leading the Lakers to the Western Conference title.

James, then in his fifth season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, averaged 30 points per game and won his first NBA scoring championship. The season placed both stars at major points in their careers, adding another layer of significance to a card already defined by rarity.

Record-Setting Market Context

The auction arrives during a stretch of extraordinary prices for rare basketball cards featuring Logoman patches and autographs from the NBA’s biggest names.

A one-of-one 2007-08 Upper Deck Exquisite Michael Jordan-Bryant Dual Logoman Autographs card sold for $12.93 million in August 2025, setting the record for any sports card. Later that year, a 2006-07 Exquisite Jordan-James Dual Logoman reportedly changed hands privately for $10 million.

Alt believes the newly surfaced Bryant-James card could set new individual records for both players and potentially challenge the overall sports card record.

Alt CEO Leore Avidar called it the company’s strongest card to date, pointing to the combination of Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, game-worn Logoman patches, both signatures, and the fact that only one copy exists.

A Card Hidden Away For Nearly Two Decades

According to Alt, the card remained hidden in a private collection for nearly 20 years before surfacing publicly. Its long absence from the market adds to the intrigue, especially given the popularity of both players and the limited number of comparable cards.

The auction will run for three weeks before entering extended bidding on Sept. 24. With the price already moving past $2 million early in the process, the card is positioned to draw close attention from high-end basketball collectors and investors throughout the auction window.
