Heritage Auctions Brings Four High-Grade Mickey Mantle Cards to Market

Vintage baseball card collectors have a new chance to chase four of Mickey Mantle’s most desirable Topps issues, as Heritage Auctions is offering examples from 1957, 1958, 1960 and 1963. The group includes a PSA 8.5 1957 card and three PSA 9 copies, with several of the cards having been absent from the market for more than two years.

Heritage Auctions Consignment Director Jason Simonds said the high-end vintage market remains strong, especially for elite names like Mantle. He pointed to rising demand and limited supply, noting that very few mint-condition Mantle cards remain ungraded and that new supply has not kept pace with collector interest.

1957 Topps Mickey Mantle #95

The 1957 Topps Mickey Mantle remains one of the most recognizable cards in the hobby, with Mantle shown in his left-handed swing against a clean design that leaves the focus on the player. Heritage is offering a PSA 8.5 example, and the card’s PSA population includes 10 copies at that grade, 22 graded PSA 9 and one PSA 10.

The exact card last sold in April 2025 for $40,800 through REA. Before that, the same card sold for $39,900 at Fanatics Premier in May 2021, then for $35,100 on eBay in November 2021. It later brought $66,000 at Fanatics Premier in June 2022, which remains the highest sale for a 1957 Mantle. Heritage last sold a PSA 8.5 copy in March 2024 for $46,800.

1958 Topps Mickey Mantle #150

The 1958 Topps Mickey Mantle is another key postwar issue, and Heritage’s offering is a PSA 9 example with a PSA population of 28 at that grade and none higher. The exact card last sold in November 2016 for $21,226.

More recently, a PSA 9 1958 Mantle sold in January 2024 for $80,533, and Heritage’s current bid has already reached $82,000. The highest public sale cited for the card is $92,146, which came at Memory Lane Auctions in May 2022.

1960 Topps Mickey Mantle #350

The 1960 Topps Mickey Mantle stands out for its horizontal layout and the bat-on-the-shoulder image that captures Mantle in a relaxed pose. Heritage’s card is graded PSA 9, and PSA has recorded a population of 31 at that grade with no PSA 10s.

This exact card last sold at Heritage in July 2023 for $60,000. The current bid sits at $52,000, while the highest sale referenced for the card is $64,103 from Memory Lane Auctions in February 2022. With no recent sales of this exact copy and limited high-grade availability, the card is expected to draw close attention as the auction closes.

1963 Topps Mickey Mantle #200

The 1963 Topps Mickey Mantle is the most plentiful of the four cards in this auction, at least by PSA population, with 40 copies graded PSA 9 and two PSA 10s above it. Heritage is offering a PSA 9 example, and the last public sale of a PSA 9 copy came in May 2024.

The top sale cited for the card is $90,000, while Heritage’s current auction is at $26,000. Even with a larger population than the other Mantle cards in this group, the card remains a major draw because high-grade examples still surface infrequently.
