Steph Curry's card market keeps climbing

Stephen Curry is now in his 18th NBA season, and his trading card market continues to reflect the impact he has had on the league. Drafted No. 7 overall by the Golden State Warriors in 2009, Curry entered the NBA as a 21-year-old rookie and quickly became one of the sport's most recognizable stars.

His career has only strengthened his place in the hobby. Curry is a four-time NBA champion, a player widely credited with changing the way the game is played, and one of the most collected modern basketball subjects. That combination has helped push demand for his rare rookies, autograph cards and premium inserts.

Jesse Craig, co-founder and CEO of Acquir, said Curry belongs in the conversation with the biggest names in the hobby.

“Everyone in our market talks about the big three - Jordan, LeBron and Kobe - and then I think a close fourth is Steph,” Craig said. “When you really consider how much he changed the game as far as shooting, as far as the success that they had in Golden State, going 73-9, winning four championships, Steph easily cemented himself as the greatest shooter of all time.”

Topps and Panini both produced key Curry cards from the 2009-10 season, and his best issues remain among the most sought-after modern basketball cards. Some are high-end grails, while others are still attainable for collectors who want a major Curry rookie without chasing the rarest serial-numbered versions.

Why Curry's rookie cards stand out

Curry's rookie year produced a strong mix of base cards, parallels and premium autograph cards, but the checklist was not overloaded with elite rookie options. That scarcity has helped several of his 2009-10 cards hold their value over time.

Craig pointed to the lack of premium rookie inventory as one reason Curry's best cards continue to attract attention.

“From a card perspective, what I love about Steph Curry specifically in 2009, is the lack of good rookies he has,” Craig said. “Some people don’t like him in Davidson uniforms. OK, there goes the Exquisite autos, then those aren’t going to be for you. Then his National Treasures RPA is not game-used, like most RPAs aren’t.”

He added that Curry's numbered rookies and premium parallels remain especially appealing because of the limited supply and the strength of the player market.

“So, I think Steph’s best rookie card, even though it’s like a portrait image, is his Topps Chrome Gold Refractor out of 50,” Craig said. “But even his regular refractor or his Topps Black, all these numbered rookies that don’t have non-game-used patches in them, I believe those are some of the best investments really because of the lack of supply that’s out there for good rookies.”

2009-10 Topps #321

Curry's base rookie card from 2009-10 Topps remains one of the most important cards in his market. It is simple, recognizable and widely collected, especially because it comes from the final year Topps held the basketball card license until 2025.

Topps also offered numbered parallels in the set, including Gold /2099 and Black /50. A PSA 9 of the base rookie is around $7,500.

2009-10 Upper Deck Exquisite Rookie Auto #64

The Upper Deck Exquisite Collection has long been one of the hobby's premier high-end brands, and Curry's rookie autograph from the set is one of the standout cards of his career.

Numbered to /225, the card features a clean design and an image from Curry's Davidson days. A PSA 9 is around $30,000. The card also comes numbered /30.

2013-14 Panini Innovation KABOOM! #5

KABOOM! inserts have become some of the most recognizable cards in modern basketball, and Curry's version from 2013-14 Panini Innovation is one of the most popular in the line.

The insert first appeared in two-card packs exclusive to Panini's online rewards program. By the end of September, PSA had graded 88 copies of Curry's KABOOM!, with 24 reaching Gem Mint 10 status.

2024 Topps NOW Olympics #27

One of Curry's most memorable recent cards came from the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Getty Images captured his sleep celebration pose after the United States men's basketball team defeated France to win gold, and Topps turned the image into a Topps NOW card.

The print run for the card was 89,838, including numbered cards, autographs and a short-print photo variation. The image has quickly become one of the most recognizable basketball cards tied to Curry's international career.

2019-20 Panini Spectra Color Blast #12

Color Blast inserts are among the most visually striking modern cards, and Curry's 2019-20 Panini Spectra version is a favorite among collectors. The card shows Curry driving to the lane with a colorful background that includes orange, red, green and blue.

It is also scarce. PSA has graded just 27 copies, with 15 earning Gem Mint 10 status. For a non-rookie Curry card, it is one of the strongest in the market.

2024-25 National Treasures Logoman Auto 1/1 #CUR

Curry's 2024-25 National Treasures Logoman Auto 1/1 is the highest-selling non-rookie Curry card on record in the source material. It sold for $1,040,697 on March 7, 2026.

The card is in a PSA slab and received 10s for both the card and the autograph. It also includes a patch worn by Curry during a game in January 2024.

2009-10 National Treasures Rookie Patch Auto /99 #206

Panini's debut National Treasures basketball release produced one of Curry's most important rookie cards. Numbered to /99, the card features Curry's autograph in blue ink and an event-worn patch.

A BGS 8 with a 10 autograph sold for $312,000 at the end of August 2026. The card also has a parallel numbered to /25.

2009 Topps Chrome Gold Refractor /50 #101

The 2009 Topps Chrome Gold Refractor is one of Curry's most desirable rookie parallels. It uses the same image as his Topps base card, but the scarcity makes it much more difficult to find.

The card was inserted into regular Topps packs that year, with Chrome cards falling at a rate of nine per box. The Curry Gold Refractor is numbered to /50 and remains in extremely high demand.

The source notes that Curry's Superfractor has never surfaced. If it ever does, it could command more than $5 million.
