2026 Panini Crown Royale NWSL Soccer Expands Panini's Women’s Soccer Lineup
2026 Panini Crown Royale NWSL Soccer marks another step in Panini’s growing presence in women’s soccer. It is the second set announced under the company’s new agreement with the domestic women’s soccer league and the second league to receive a Crown Royale release in 2026, joining the WNBA.
Although Crown Royale has been part of the hobby for more than 30 years, the brand is entering soccer in a new way. This will be the first-ever Crown Royale base set for the sport, giving NWSL collectors a fresh take on one of Panini’s most recognizable product lines.
2026 Panini Crown Royale NWSL Soccer Hobby Box Breakdown
Panini has outlined the hobby format for the release. Each hobby box includes eight cards and is configured with a mix of hits and inserts.
- 1 autograph
- 2 memorabilia cards
- 3 inserts or parallels
The product is listed with a hobby format of one pack per box and 16 boxes per case. Panini has not announced a set size or release date yet.
Crown Royale Makes Its First Soccer Appearance
Crown Royale began as a Pacific brand and was originally produced from 1995 to 2003 across baseball, football and hockey. After Pacific sold its business to Donruss Playoff in 2004, Panini later acquired Pacific’s intellectual property when it purchased Playoff in 2009. Crown Royale returned to the hobby that year with an NBA debut and has remained a recurring brand across multiple sports.
The product is known for its die-cut crown design on base cards and its royalty-themed presentation. Those signature elements are expected to carry over into the NWSL edition, along with hard-signed autographs.
Base Set and Parallels
The base checklist is expected to feature top rookies, current stars and veterans from the league. Panini has already confirmed that the set will include several colorful and patterned parallels, including Crystal Purple.
Because the checklist has not yet been released, Panini has not provided the full lineup of base cards or parallel tiers. More details should follow once the manufacturer posts the official checklist.
Autographs and Memorabilia Cards
Panini did not preview specific autograph or memorabilia subjects for the product, but the company says the individual checklists will include top rookies, current superstars and veterans of the game. The release is also expected to continue Crown Royale’s hard-signed autograph tradition.
With two memorabilia cards per hobby box, the product should offer a strong hit rate for collectors looking for player-worn or game-used content, though Panini has not yet detailed the exact materials or card types that will appear.
Inserts Bring Back Crown Royale Style
Die-cut design remains a major part of the Crown Royale identity, and that continues in the NWSL release. One of the highlighted inserts is Crown Control, which fits the brand’s familiar visual style.
Panini also confirmed that Kaboom inserts will appear in the product. The short-printed insert concept makes its NWSL debut here, adding one of the hobby’s most recognizable chase cards to the league’s first Crown Royale release.
