2023 Topps Chrome Disney 100 Keeps Surging
Prices for 2023 Topps Chrome Disney 100 cards and sealed product have climbed sharply, with some Mickey Mouse cards now reaching more than $60,000 and a hobby case selling for $78,000. The release, which arrived in December 2023 to mark Disney’s 100th anniversary, has become one of the most closely watched non-sports products in the hobby.
The latest wave of sales has pushed attention beyond the biggest Disney characters and into the broader checklist, where even cards featuring Woody have seen major gains in a short period of time.
Woody’s Refractor Jumps Fast
Woody has long been one of Pixar’s most recognizable characters, but his 2023 Topps Chrome Disney 100 Refractor has become a notable market mover of its own. On July 3, a PSA 10 copy sold on eBay for $380. By Aug. 19, another PSA 10 had sold for $1,175.
That is an increase of more than 200% in less than seven weeks, showing how quickly demand has expanded across the set. While Woody’s rise is impressive, it is still overshadowed by the strongest sales tied to Mickey Mouse and other top Disney characters.
What Is in 2023 Topps Chrome Disney 100
Topps Chrome Disney 100 was built as a 100-card base set spanning generations of Disney and Pixar characters. Mickey Mouse holds card No. 1, and the checklist stretches across some of the most familiar names in the Disney universe.
- Minnie Mouse
- Donald Duck
- Winnie the Pooh
- Ariel from The Little Mermaid
- Stitch from Lilo & Stitch
- Simba from The Lion King
- Elsa from Frozen
- Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story
- Lightning McQueen from Cars
For collectors used to Topps Chrome baseball or other sports releases, the structure feels familiar. The product includes Refractors, numbered parallels, one-of-one SuperFractors, inserts, and cards with facsimile character autographs. The chase mirrors the same style of collecting that drives demand in sports card markets, only with Disney and Pixar characters replacing athletes.
Mickey Mouse Has Become the Headliner
Mickey Mouse has emerged as the clear leader in the set and has produced some of the most eye-catching sales. In June, a PSA 10 Red & Black Wave Mickey Mouse /28 sold for $62,220 at Goldin. Another rare Mickey Mouse card sold for nearly $35,000 at Fanatics Collect earlier this month.
One of the clearest signs of the set’s momentum has been the performance of the Dark Blue & Light Blue Refractor /75. A PSA 10 sold for $2,250 on Feb. 7, then another PSA 10 sold for $24,600 on eBay six months later.
That is nearly 11 times the earlier sale price, a dramatic move that has helped put the product on the radar of collectors who may not have followed Disney cards closely before.
Sealed Boxes and Cases Are Rising, Too
The surge has not been limited to individual cards. Sealed 2023 Topps Chrome Disney 100 product has also become increasingly difficult to find at earlier price points.
A sealed 12-box hobby case sold for $24,400 at Goldin in May 2025. On July 24, 2026, another case sold through Fanatics Premier for $78,000. That represents an increase of nearly 220%.
Individual hobby boxes have also seen strong gains. One hobby box sold for $3,875 on eBay on June 2. Just over a month later, another hobby box sold for $17,499.99 on July 6.
Those jumps reflect a market where unopened product is becoming scarcer as more boxes are opened, leaving fewer sealed examples available for collectors who want to hold or speculate on future demand.
Why Collectors Are Chasing Disney 100
Disney has a massive global audience, and the 2023 Topps Chrome Disney 100 release taps into nearly a century of characters and stories that appeal to fans across generations. That built-in audience gives the product a broader reach than most non-sports releases.
Topps Chrome also gives traditional card collectors a familiar format. Numbered parallels, Refractors, one-of-ones, and graded gem mint copies all fit into a collecting model that sports card buyers already understand. The result is a crossover product that can attract both Disney fans and hobby collectors looking for scarce, recognizable names.
The release also arrived as the start of a larger Disney trading card push. Topps followed it with additional Chrome Disney products as interest in the category continued to grow.
Another factor is scarcity. The 2023 product had a significantly smaller print run than more recent Disney releases and was initially limited to European distribution. That tighter supply has become more important as demand has expanded and sealed product has continued to disappear from the market.
What the Market Is Watching Next
With Mickey Mouse cards topping $60,000, Woody climbing quickly, and sealed cases reaching $78,000, 2023 Topps Chrome Disney 100 has moved into a new tier of collector attention. The set now sits at the intersection of Disney nostalgia, Chrome-style scarcity, and the grading market that drives so much of modern card pricing.
The next sales will likely be watched closely, especially for the set’s biggest characters and the rarest parallels. For now, the market has made one thing clear: 2023 Topps Chrome Disney 100 is no longer just a novelty release. It has become a serious chase for collectors tracking both Disney history and hobby momentum.
Jesse Gibson and Ray Solorio of the Hobby Nonsense podcast, along with Matt Hathorn of Funcle Cards, have been among those following the growing interest in Disney cards and the sharp rise in sealed Disney 100 product.
