Dazzling Decorations Arrives December 9

Part 2 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, Dazzling Decorations, is scheduled to arrive on December 9, 2026. The paid DLC expands the life simulation game with new accessories, items, and additional Pokémon, giving players more ways to customize Ditto and the Pokémon neighbors they meet along the way.

Players who purchased the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass will need to apply the free ver. 3.0.0 software update before they can access the new content. The update is required before Dazzling Decorations can be played.

What the Expansion Pass Adds

With Part 2, players can dress Ditto and their Pokémon neighbors in a variety of accessories. The expansion also adds more Pokémon and new items to the game, continuing the broader content rollout tied to the paid pass.

The expansion pass is designed to build on the game’s town exploration and friendship systems, adding more ways to interact with the world and its residents. The new content follows Part 1: Bubbly Basin, which introduced a new underwater town and additional Pokémon on August 5, 2026.

Bonus Gifts With Purchase

Players who buy the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass also receive additional gifts with purchase. These include a recipe for dynamic Ditto print blocks and wallpaper.

In addition, buyers can receive a code by email for 30 rare Pokémetal ingots. According to the announcement, that email code is available through August 31, 2027. More details on how to claim the gifts are available on the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass site.

Progress Requirements Before Starting

Before beginning Dazzling Decorations, players must first complete several important requests in Withered Wasteland. Those required tasks include “Raise the environment level!,” “Rebuild the Pokémon Center!,” and Drifloon’s “Find a doll!” request.

These prerequisites mean players will need to make progress in the game’s story and town restoration systems before the new DLC becomes available.

Apples to Applin Event Runs in November and December

All Pokémon Pokopia players can take part in the Apples to Applin event, which runs from November 16, 2026, at 5:00 a.m. to December 1, 2026, at 4:59 a.m. During the event, Applin, the Apple Core Pokémon, comes to town with a request for Ditto.

Players can collect Syrupy Apples and exchange them for event items, including apple-themed furniture. Those items can then be used to build habitats that appeal to Flapple, Appletun, Dipplin, and Hydrapple.

To participate, players must be using software version 2.0.1 or later. The version can be checked in the Options tab on the HOME menu.

Pokémon Pokopia Release Information

Pokémon Pokopia launched on March 5, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2. The game is listed as a life simulation title, with the Expansion Pass continuing to add new areas, characters, and customization options after release.

Part 3 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass is also planned for 2027 and will introduce another new town to explore and rebuild.
