2027 Global Challenge II heads to Pokémon Champions
The next chance to earn Championship Points in Pokémon Champions is on the calendar. The 2027 Global Challenge II gives players another opportunity to test their battling skills, compete for rewards, and move closer to an invitation to the Pokémon World Championships.
Global Challenge events award Championship Points toward Worlds qualification, with additional prizes available for participation. The 2027 Global Challenge II will take place in Pokémon Champions on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
Competition dates and registration window
The 2027 Global Challenge II competition runs from Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 5:59 p.m. PST.
Registration opens earlier, beginning Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. PDT and continuing through Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 5:59 p.m. PST. Players may join even after the tournament has already started, but Battle Teams must be registered during sign-up.
To enter, players should go to Battle, then Online Competitions, and select the competition in Pokémon Champions.
Format and rules for the event
The competition will use Regulation Set M-C and will be played as Double Battles. The full list of eligible Pokémon, ranking announcements, regulations, and other event details will be available through the in-game news.
Because this is an Online Competition, players should review the rules and team requirements before registering to make sure their Battle Team is eligible for the event format.
Championship Points and account requirements
Players who want to earn Championship Points must have a Pokémon Trainer Central account before registering for the Online Competition. That account also needs to be linked in the Play! Pokémon Access app, and the accounts must remain linked until after rewards have been awarded.

Players must also enter their Pokémon Champions Support ID into Play! Pokémon Access.
If a player later unlinks their accounts, any Championship Points already earned will remain. Players who only want to register and compete without being eligible for Championship Points do not need to link accounts.
Participation prize: male Basculegion
All participants who complete at least three matches, with either a win or a loss, during the event period will be eligible for a male Basculegion through in-game distribution.
After ranking results are checked by going to Battle and then Online Competitions, eligible players will be able to claim the male Basculegion from their in-game mailbox.
The event adds another competitive path for players looking to build Championship Points while also earning an in-game reward for participation. With the registration window opening a week before the competition begins, trainers have time to prepare a team and enter before the event closes on November 1, 2026.
