2026 Topps x KAWS Baseball Brings Artist-Driven Design to the Diamond

Topps is teaming with artist and designer KAWS for a specially curated baseball card release developed in conjunction with Fanatics and Complex.com. The 2026 Topps x KAWS Baseball set blends KAWS’ recognizable visual style with a checklist built around some of the biggest names in the game, with a strong focus on the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers.

The product is planned to arrive on July 20, 2026. Box details have not been announced, and Topps has not released information on pack configuration or the contents of a hobby box. A KAWS memorabilia collection tied to the project will be first available at Fanatics Fest in New York City from July 16-19, which coincides with a highly anticipated Yankees-Dodgers series at Yankee Stadium.

2026 Topps x KAWS Baseball Checklist Overview

The base set includes 60 cards and mixes current stars with retired legends. The design uses an eccentric, multi-colored border that recalls 1990 Topps Baseball, while KAWS’ signature XX symbol appears in the upper right corner of each base card.

As expected for a modern Topps release, the base set includes numbered parallels that create a rainbow of versions. Production figures for cards without serial numbers have not been announced.

The checklist is heavily weighted toward marquee players, with Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, Mookie Betts, Juan Soto, Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, Ronald Acuña Jr., and other top names appearing across the base set, autograph lineup, and insert content. The set also includes retired stars such as Derek Jeter, Cal Ripken Jr., Ken Griffey Jr., Chipper Jones, Randy Johnson, and others.

Autographs Include Sticker Signatures and Five On-Card Cards

Autographs are a major part of the 2026 Topps x KAWS Baseball checklist. The autograph lineup spans 41 cards and includes parallels, with most cards featuring sticker autographs. Topps also confirmed five hard-signed on-card autograph cards, giving the release a premium chase element for collectors looking for direct signatures from some of the product’s biggest names.

On-Card Autographs

  • 1-A Shohei Ohtani
  • 2-A Aaron Judge
  • 7-A Derek Jeter
  • 14-A Yoshinobu Yamamoto
  • 15-A Roki Saski

The autograph checklist also includes a number of current stars and retired players, among them Mike Trout, Bobby Witt Jr., Ichiro, Albert Pujols, Cal Ripken Jr., José Ramírez, Elly De La Cruz, Ken Griffey Jr., Francisco Lindor, Pedro Martinez, Roger Clemens, Trea Turner, Kyle Tucker, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Carson Williams, Reggie Jackson, David Ortiz, Jacob Misiorowski, Corbin Carroll, Chipper Jones, Paul Skenes, Julio Rodriguez, Jonah Tong, Darryl Strawberry, Juan Soto, Tarik Skubal, Wyatt Langford, Nick Kurtz, Randy Johnson, Junior Caminero, Mike Piazza, James Wood, Jacob Wilson, Max Fried, and Clayton Kershaw.

Topps also included KAWS Companion SSP Autographs, a five-card autograph subset that extends the artist collaboration beyond the player checklist. Those cards are listed as SSP-K11 through SSP-K15.

KAWS Creations Inserts Add the Artist’s Signature Style

The insert lineup is led by KAWS Creations, a 25-card insert set built around KAWS’ abstract visual language. The cards feature bright colors and layered patterns that spread across the background, giving the insert set a distinct look within the product.

The KAWS Creations checklist features a mix of stars from both leagues, including Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, Juan Soto, Roman Anthony, Derek Jeter, Ronald Acuña Jr., Jacob Misiorowski, Roki Sasaki, Max Fried, Mookie Betts, Bobby Witt Jr., Tarik Skubal, Cal Raleigh, Julio Rodríguez, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Fernando Tatis Jr., Kyle Tucker, Francisco Lindor, Junior Caminero, Nick Kurtz, Wyatt Langford, and Bryce Harper.

Topps also added KAWS Companion SPs, a 10-card short-print insert group listed as SP-K1 through SP-K10. The source does not provide additional details on parallels or production figures for these inserts.

KAWS Himself Appears in the Product

KAWS, whose real name is Brian Donnelly, is a Brooklyn, New York native. In addition to designing the set, he also signed SSP cards of himself for the release. That detail adds another layer to a product that already leans heavily into the artist’s identity and visual style.

The collaboration continues Topps’ recent run of creator-driven baseball releases. The company has previously worked with names such as Steve Aoki, Takashi Murakami, Travis Scott, and the Bob Ross Estate on special-edition baseball cards.
