March 8, 1971. Madison Square Garden. The undefeated heavyweight champion “Smokin’” Joe Frazier meets Muhammad Ali in the most anticipated fight ever staged. Celebrities packed the Garden, hundreds of millions watched around the world, and after 15 brutal rounds Frazier won by unanimous decision, handing Ali the first professional loss of his career.
The Fight of the Century opens Keepsake’s first-ever three-collection program built around a single rivalry. The story continues with Ali vs. Frazier II (1974) and ends with the legendary Thrilla in Manila (1975). This is Chapter I, and the bell is about to ring.
