2026 Panini Obsidian Football brings back the brand’s signature dark Opti-Chrome look for another Hobby release built around bold design and a strong chase element. Scheduled for release on Oct. 21, 2026, this football product continues the Obsidian tradition of pairing a sleek visual style with a mix of autographs, memorabilia, inserts, and parallels.
Each Hobby box contains 1 pack with 7 cards per pack, keeping the format compact while still offering a wide range of hits. The product is centered on Obsidian’s distinctive aesthetic, and the return of the line in 2026 keeps the focus on premium presentation and collectible variety.
Autographs remain a major part of the appeal. The checklist features a plethora of autograph sets that include top collegiate players as well as some of the game’s greatest retired players. That combination gives the release a broad collecting range, blending current talent with names from football’s past.
Collectors can also chase some of the product’s most recognizable case hits, including Black Color Blast and Black Stained Glass. Those inserts are among the standout attractions in the release and add another layer of excitement for collectors looking for visually striking cards.
The box break is built around multiple hit categories, with a guaranteed mix of autograph and memorabilia content. Each box includes 1 Patch Autograph, 1 Other Autograph, 2 Memorabilia Cards, 1 Insert or Insert Parallel, and 2 Base or Base Parallels. That structure gives every box a combination of autograph-driven and relic-based content, along with additional base card variety.
Obsidian has long been known for its dramatic card design, and the 2026 edition continues that identity with a dark, modern look that stands apart from more traditional football releases. For collectors who enjoy premium styling, autograph depth, and a concise Hobby format, this release offers a focused break with several notable chase elements.
With its limited pack count, premium visual identity, and a checklist that mixes current and retired talent, 2026 Panini Obsidian Football Hobby Box is designed for collectors who want a compact break with strong hit potential. The combination of patch autographs, additional autograph content, memorabilia cards, and case-hit inserts gives the product a clear identity within the football calendar.
