2025-26 Bowman Sapphire Basketball will blend the NBA’s biggest rookies and superstars with the brightest stars of the next generation.

For the first time, the 2025-26 flagship Bowman Basketball brand combined the pro and college ranks into one comprehensive set, and that will continue in the upgraded Sapphire product, a slimmed down but premium version of the cards. Collectors have previously seen Bowman Chrome University Sapphire editions for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 NCAA basketball seasons, but NBA players have only received the Sapphire treatment in Topps Chrome versions.

Details on boxes are not yet available, but the product will release exclusively online at Topps.com on May 29.

The flagship Bowman set had 200 cards and another 100 prospects on the checklist, and all of those cards will receive the blue gem-like Chrome accents that define the Sapphire brand. Names like LeBron James, Cooper Flagg, AJ Dybantsa, and Sienna Betts all have a place in the product.

The base set will have parallels, but Topps has not yet announced which colors will be available.

Sapphire Autographs will make up the bulk of the signature chase, with NBA stars and rookies and college prospects also providing hard-signed ink.

Tougher to find signatures hail from Sapphire Selections Autographs. This set will likewise combine NBA talent with NCAA prospects, but there are not base versions.

Treasured Talents, a Sapphire-exclusive insert that’s only been seen in Bowman Chrome University Sapphire football and basketball products, makes the jump here.
