2024 Upper Deck Golf

2024 Upper Deck Golf brings a standalone flagship release back to the green for the first time in two decades. A lot has changed since 2004, so things will look a little different this time around. But not everything. Those that collected the original line can still expect a classy, photo-driven base design and lots of inserts. One thing that’s sparse on the checklist this time are traditional hits. There are a few autographs but they’re scarce. Multiple levels of tough parallels and chase sets replace them. The main base set has 150 total cards. Within that, though, are four different sections with varying rarities. The first 50 cards are your standard golfer cards. Season Highlights and Season Highlights – Debut Date split evenly for the next third of the checklist. These are one per hobby pack. Fifty Young Guns follow, highlighting the game’s top young players. Although they’ve been around since the earliest days of Upper Deck Hockey, the subset took on a life of its own around the same time Upper Deck Golf’s original run came to a close. Like their ice counterparts, Young Guns are short prints are modest short prints. At 1:4 hobby packs, there are six per box. The parallels are the same for all 150 cards. Clear Cut, which are done on acetate are 1:96 packs for both standard base cards and Season Highlights. Young Guns are 1:288 packs. Clear Cut is only available in hobby packs. Exclusives (/100) and High Gloss (/10) are serial-numbered options for collectors to go after. Young Guns aren’t the only things making the jump over from Upper Deck Hockey. Some inserts are as well. UD Canvas (1:7 packs) is one of the big ones. Printed on canvas-style stock, photography is a standout here as well. These are sort of like a spinoff of the main set in their approach. This includes more Young Guns, which land 1:60 packs. Parallels include Black (1:80, Young Guns 1:720 packs) and one-of-one Printing Plates. A very small number of UD Canvas Signatures are available, numbered to either 10 or 15.
