2024 Topps x Chris Berman: Boomer’s Baseball

2024 Topps x Chris Berman: Boomer’s Baseball is a card collaboration between the card maker and the ESPN sportscaster. Not only does it mix current and retired stars, but the checklist brings some of Berman’s flair and personality to it as well. The online-exclusive promises a pair of inserts or parallels per pack. Autographs land approximately every other box. Things start with a 100-card base set. It’s a blend of superstars, rookie standouts and fan favorites from the past 40 years. The design gives off a bit of a 2004 Topps Baseball vibe only with a lot more color — and the illustrated Berman icon. Parallels come in nine levels: More than 40 cards also have Nickname Nameplate Variations. Landing one per pack, these add a Berman-ism to the player’s name on the front. Approximately half of the set has autographed versions as well. The checklist has three main additional insert sets. Illustrious Nicknames Background Variations take the moniker theme a step further with an illustrated background.
