2024 Score Football sees the perennial early-season release return for another year. And for those that were collecting in the brand’s early days more than 30 years ago, elements of the base set might seem familiar.
As far as configuration goes, hobby takes a jumbo approach with 40 cards per pack and 10 packs per box. Overall, these boxes have four autographs and 36 additional inserts. Parallels average one per pack as well.
The base set consists of 400 cards this time around. Of those, 100 are rookies fresh from the NFL Draft. Design-wise, while not exactly the same, the general layout is somewhat similar to 1990 Score Football, at least on a vibe level.
Among the parallels are familiar names like End Zone, Showcase and Gem Masters.
Rookie Signatures bring autographs from many of the year’s key first-year players. These have a design that’s essentially the same as the main set.
Double Trouble has various NFL tandems and pairings, adding a dual autograph element to the checklist.
Hot Rookies inserts are another place that channels 1990 Score Football. This time it’s from the similarly named Hot Cards inserts.
Another Score mainstay, The Franchise, is also among the inserts.
