2024 Leaf Metal Legends Hockey looks at the game’s greats through a mix of autographs and color. That means that the checklist is mostly stars from the past but collectors might also find a current surprise or two in the mix as well.
Every card in the product comes with a signature (or multiple signatures). All individual cards are also extremely limited with nothing have a print run higher than 10 copies.
Hobby boxes come with three autograph cards done on either chromium or acetate stock.
Things start with Base Autographs covering a broad spectrum of retired stars and eras.
Other single-signed themes include Arctic Ink, Iceolated, Retired Numbers and White Light.
Exotic, which has starred in its own standalone sets, makes an appearance here. Rather than the usual color blends, these use animal prints and markings in the background.
According to Leaf, cases should have at least two and possibly three multi-signature cards. Polar Pairings and Metal Trios are among them.
There’s also We Own This City, which puts a hockey superstar’s signature alongside one from an athlete who called to the same city home.
