The 2024-25 Topps Finest Basketball set marks the brand’s second year back from a long hiatus, and the tiered base set that was popular in the late 1990s is also back. Like for last year’s release, hobby boxes again deliver a pair of autographs among the six 10-card packs. The base set, comprised of a mixture of veterans, legends, and top rookies, will again be broken into three 100-card tiers (Common, Uncommon, and Rare), and each tier has 20+ parallels, including seven Geometric Refractors exclusive to Breakers Delight boxes There are a total of 60 rookie cards throughout the checklist. The insert sets are the same as last year, with five sets that play off the subsets from the 1996-97 and 1997-98 Finest base sets, and the return of the popular short-printed The Man inserts (1:480 Hobby packs). Common inserts have 17 parallels. As for autographs, there are many options for collectors. Signers range from today’s stars to tomorrow’s top rookies to yesterday’s Hall of Famers and legends. Finest Autographs and Finest Rookie Autographs are the primary drivers and come in 13 colored Refractor parallels.
