2023 Panini Flawless Baseball features a mix of the sport’s past and future gems. Of course, being Flawless, there are plenty of actual gems as well.
The luxury-level release comes packaged as 10-card hobby boxes, each with seven autographs, a pair of memorabilia cards and one gem card.
The base set and complimentary insert sets are where collectors will find most of the gem cards. They’re split into four sections: Base, Legends, Rookies and USA. All come numbered to 20 or fewer, each with a gemstone embedded in the card itself, one of Flawless’ calling cards.
Outside of any potential cut signatures, autographs in Flawless are on-card. These include some autographed memorabilia offerings like Rookie Patch Autographs and Star Swatch Signatures.
Other autograph themes on the checklist include Legendary Scripts, Star Spangled Signatures, and USA Gems Signatures, which take a page from the base set and have some added bling.
Among the memorabilia possibilities are rarities like bat knobs, bat nameplates and spikes from cleat bottoms.
Flawless has some scarce inserts that bypass signatures and swatches but have multiple gems. These focus on specific player achievements or attributes like Willie Mays and “The Catch” and Albert Pujols joining the 700 Home Run Club.
