Product Overview

2023 Leaf Metal Baseball has a lot of similar elements as the past. That means lots of autographs from draft picks and top prospects. But some collectors may notice the term “Draft” has been dropped. There’s a reason for that. The checklist also includes a more significant number of current MLB stars and retired greats, making it more than just a prospecting product. Boxes are available in two configurations, hobby and jumbo. Hobby boxes have six autographs and a pair of base cards. For jumbo, it’s 10 autograph cards and four base. It’s not just the player selection that’s evolved in 2023 Leaf Metal Baseball. There’s a base set (and the accompanying parallels) this time. Consisting of nearly 100 cards, it shows just how varied the checklist is, covering the sport’s past, present and future. Standard base cards are the only ones in the product not to carry serial numbers. Base cards have more than 50 parallels, mixing different colors, patterns and substrates for the stock they’re printed with. The biggest part of the 2023 Leaf Metal Baseball checklist is the Base Autographs. A total of 120 signers are present. Other signature themes bring colorful and, at times, over-the-top designs. These include Anime Nation, Fort Knox and Thrillerz. Bull-Penned Autographs are only in hobby boxes while Greenlight Autographs are a jumbo exclusive. Like the base set, autographs have a lot of parallels. In turn, this keeps print runs for all individual cards low. All with signatures have 10 copies or less.
