Topps Holiday’s rise since 2016

Topps Holiday has become one of the most recognizable seasonal baseball products since debuting in 2016. The set is known for hidden elves, image variations, short prints and a low-cost format that packs plenty of cards into mega boxes. It is not a high-end or especially scarce release, but it has still produced a steady stream of notable sales over the years.

As the product line expanded in popularity, it also spread beyond baseball after Fanatics acquired the license to print those cards. Even with its accessible price point, Topps Holiday has generated some strong individual card sales across the checklist.

2016 Topps Holiday: Bryce Harper

The first Topps Holiday baseball set was released in 2016, and the top sale from that debut product belongs to Bryce Harper. His Metallic Snowflake Relic Autograph, certified authentic by CGC, features a waist-up image of Harper and a tri-colored relic. The autograph appears to be just his initials, likely because of the limited space on the card.

The card sold on April 19 for $870 through Fanatics Collect after drawing 19 bids. Card Ladder currently lists the card at $789.

2017 Topps Holiday: Ronald Acuna Jr.

The top card from the 2017 set is a Ronald Acuna Jr. autograph from before his rookie year. The image comes from his Bowman 1st and shows a young Acuna Jr. running the bases. The card includes a sticker autograph with an ugly-sweater pattern in gold, and the one-of-one designation is gold-stamped on the back near the card number.

This card has only one recorded sale, which came on July 9, 2020, for $3,901. Card Ladder currently values it at $2,223.16, while Fanatics Collects has it listed for $60,000.

2018 Topps Holiday: Shohei Ohtani

Shohei Ohtani headlines the 2018 set with a rookie autograph numbered to just five copies. At first glance, it looks like a base card with an autograph, but the serial numbering confirms its rarity. The card is numbered 5/5 and was slabbed Authentic with an autograph grade of 10.

Card Ladder says the card sold at auction on October 8, 2026, for $10,980. Its current value is listed at $10,370.

2019 Topps Holiday: Shohei Ohtani

Ohtani appears again in 2019 with a Santa Hat relic autograph graded BGS 8.5. The card shows Ohtani posing with a bat while wearing a Santa hat, and the faux relic is displayed in a diamond-shaped cutout with the fuzzy material raised above the surface of the card.

The card sold via auction on March 8, 2026, for $4,391. Card Ladder currently shows a value of $7,350.

2020 Topps Holiday: Shohei Ohtani

Another Ohtani card leads the 2020 set. This autograph is a sticker auto placed near the center of the card and is serial-numbered 17 of 20. The card was graded PSA Mint 9.

According to Card Ladder, it sold through best offer on May 30, 2026, for $3,900. Card Ladder lists the current value at $4,916.

2021 Topps Holiday: Fernando Tatis Jr.

The highest-selling card from the 2021 set is Fernando Tatis Jr.’s one-of-one relic autograph. It is a horizontal card with a waist-up image of Tatis in his batting stance. The sticker autograph sits below him, and the tri-color game-used relic is exposed through the middle section of the snowman on the right.

Card Ladder shows the card sold in auction on December 26, 2021, for $915.

2022 Topps Holiday: Shohei Ohtani

The 2022 set features Ohtani as a pitcher, with a card showing him mid-windup and his leg kicked up. The autograph is numbered 16 of 25 and the card earned a PSA GEM MT 10 grade.

Card Ladder says it sold on eBay via auction on August 9, 2026, for $5,388 after 48 bids. The current Card Ladder value is $5,631.

2023 Topps Holiday: Shohei Ohtani

The top sale from the 2023 product is another Ohtani one-of-one, this time a Gold Metallic relic card. It is not autographed, but it does include a tri-color patch. The card shows Ohtani in a nearly full shot after his swing, apparently admiring the result.

Card Ladder lists the sale at $3,999 on April 27, 2026, through auction. The current value is $5,219.

2024 Topps Holiday: Paul Skenes

Paul Skenes leads the 2024 set with a Gold Glitter one-of-one rookie patch autograph graded BGS 8.5 with an autograph grade of 10. The horizontal card features a strong patch that appears to come from a Pirates uniform. While it is not game-worn, it is player-worn, which adds another layer of appeal.

The card sold through Goldin on November 7, 2025, for $5,843.80 after 58 bids. Card Ladder currently values it at $7,155.

2025 Topps Holiday: Roki Sasaki

The 2025 release is the first Topps Holiday product to include Chrome cards, and the top sale from the set is a Roki Sasaki rookie superfractor. Sasaki is shown in his windup on a vertical card, and the design uses the familiar gold vinyl swirls associated with Topps Chrome superfractors. The card does not have an autograph.

Graded PSA GEM MT 10, the card sold for $7,500 on August 1, 2026, via best offer. Card Ladder currently lists it at $8,457.

2026 Topps Holiday: Mrs. Claus

The newest Topps Holiday set is less than a week old, and so far its top sale is not a baseball player at all. The highest-selling card from 2026 Topps Holiday is an autographed relic card of Mrs. Claus. The card shows a woman dressed as Mrs. Claus holding a sheet of baked cookies, with a faux relic labeled Holiday Memorabilia visible through a star shape in the upper left. The autograph is centered near the bottom of the card above the name.

Card Ladder says the card sold on October 24, 2026, for $750 through a fixed-price eBay sale.

What the sales say about Topps Holiday

Topps Holiday remains a budget-friendly product, but the top sales from each year show that key rookies, one-of-ones and rare autograph relics can still command strong prices. Shohei Ohtani appears repeatedly across the checklist, while newer names such as Paul Skenes and Roki Sasaki have already joined the product’s most notable sales list.

With variations, short prints and seasonal inserts continuing to define the release, Topps Holiday has built a track record that stretches well beyond its low entry price. The set’s biggest cards continue to come from a mix of star power, scarcity and unusual holiday-themed designs.
