Rare Michael Jordan Card Draws Attention in Lelands Auction

A grandmother’s collection turned up an unexpected hobby gem when her grandson found a 1996 Flair Showcase Legacy Collection Row 0 Michael Jordan card serial-numbered 24/150. The card, recently submitted to PSA and graded NM-MT+ 8.5, is now one of the featured lots in Lelands’ 2026 Summer Classic Auction, which is open for bidding.

The card is being presented as a hobby-fresh example and carries added appeal because of its low serial number and strong grade. PSA has labeled it POP 2, with only 19 examples graded higher.

Flair Showcase Row inserts are widely regarded as one of the most collectible basketball card lines of the 1990s, and the Row 0 versions are considered the most desirable within the subset. In this case, the card’s serial number is 24, just one number above Jordan’s famous jersey number 23.

Jordan Autographs Also Included

Several other autographed Michael Jordan cards are part of the auction as well, adding more star power to the basketball offerings. One of the most unusual vintage pieces in the sale is a 1933 Lou Gehrig New York Yankees player contract signed by Gehrig as “Henry Louis Gehrig.” The four-page document lists a $25,000 salary and includes a secretarial signature of owner Col. Jacob Ruppert along with the signature of business manager Ed Barrow.

The contract has an interesting auction history. Lelands previously sold it in 1990, and it is now consigned by that buyer. The item also comes with a PSA letter of authenticity.

Other baseball highlights include a late-1930s Gehrig single-signed baseball, a 1910 E105 Mello Mint Honus Wagner graded PSA GD 2, and a Roberto Clemente 3,000th-hit full ticket.

Wilt Chamberlain Ticket Stub Among Basketball Memorabilia

Basketball collectors also have a notable vintage ticket in the sale: a 1962 Wilt Chamberlain 100-point game ticket stub from the March 2 contest at Hershey Sports Arena. The stub is graded PSA VG-EX 4 (MK) and ranks among the highest-graded examples in the PSA population report.

The back of the ticket stub includes a handwritten note in ink reading “100 points,” adding a period detail tied directly to one of the most famous scoring performances in basketball history.

Also listed is a 1957 Topps Basketball unopened wax pack graded PSA NM 7 with Bob Pettit showing on the reverse.

Marvin Hagler Estate Items Add Boxing Depth

The auction also includes multiple items from the Marvin Hagler estate. Among the pieces mentioned are championship belts and photo-matched fight-worn trunks. Lelands’ listing gives the sale a broad sports scope, with boxing memorabilia joining the basketball, baseball, and soccer material.

Hope Solo Collection Features More Than 45 Lots

A major part of the auction is the Hope Solo Collection, which includes more than 45 lots from the personal holdings of the former U.S. Women’s National Team goalkeeper. The group is led by Solo’s signed, photo-matched match-worn jersey and shorts from the July 5, 2015, FIFA Women’s World Cup final victory over Japan, along with her championship ring from that tournament.

Lelands has described the uniform and ring as among the most significant women’s soccer items ever offered at public auction. The collection also includes Solo’s 2015 FIFA Golden Glove award, photo-matched signed jerseys from the quarterfinal win over China and semifinal win over Germany, additional national team and club jerseys, Golden Glove awards from other competitions, a team-signed ball from her 100th international appearance, and her 2015 ESPY Awards dress.
