Pokémon Pokopia Version 2.0.0 Brings a Wide Set of Improvements
Building a Pokémon world in Pokémon Pokopia is now a little smoother thanks to the game’s version 2.0.0 update. The free patch introduces a range of quality-of-life changes designed to make world building, inventory handling, and interactions with Pokémon easier to manage.
The update covers several parts of the game, from how players talk with certain characters to how items are stored, moved, and removed. It also adds new options that should help with comfort during play, including motion-sickness reduction settings for the camera.
Changes to Pokémon Interactions
Several updates focus on making conversations and companion behavior more efficient. When speaking with Professor Tangrowth, lost relics can now be appraised in batches of up to 10 at a time.
Smearguru, Vespiquen, Gimmighoul, and Gholdengo can now handle multiple transactions during a single conversation, reducing the need for repeated interactions.

Smearguru also gained a new feature that lets it learn to paint patterns from reference photos taken of items.
Behavioral adjustments were made for Pokémon affected by changes to furniture and habitats. Pokémon that become sad after furniture is removed will now notice more quickly when that same furniture is placed back. Pokémon will also return to their habitat if it is destroyed and then rebuilt within a certain area.
Inventory Management Gets More Flexible
One of the biggest additions in version 2.0.0 is a new storage chest called a portal pod. This item lets players access stored items from multiple locations, and anything stored in one portal pod can be taken out from any other portal pod, even in different areas.

Players can also move multiple items in bulk between storage boxes and their bag, which should make sorting and reorganizing much faster.
Waste containers such as garbage bins now offer a cleaner way to clear out unwanted items. Items placed in these containers can now disappear, though they will not vanish immediately, giving players a short window to recover them if needed.
Building and World Creation Updates
The update adds several improvements for players shaping their worlds. You can now suck up items, access your bag, and consume food while transformed as Graveler.
When Ditto spits out stored water, adjusted water levels now automatically match nearby water levels, helping keep water placement more consistent.
Players also now have finer control when placing windows, doors, and similar items, with the ability to fine-tune depth for more precise building.
Treasure hunting in the Sparkling Skylands has also been adjusted. When using the Dowsing Machine, treasures will no longer appear in locations where breaking terrain would cause them to fall.
Event and Camera Adjustments
Version 2.0.0 also reduces how often in-game event reminders appear. Instead of showing up as frequently, reminders will now only trigger when the number of days remaining in the event reaches specific periods.
For players who want a more comfortable visual experience, the patch adds motion-sickness reduction settings for the camera.
Free Update Available Without Paid DLC
The version 2.0.0 update does not require the three-part Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass paid DLC. That means players can access the new quality-of-life improvements whether they are just starting the game or returning to an existing world.
Pokémon Pokopia is scheduled for release on March 5, 2026, as a life simulation game for Nintendo Switch 2.
