Zorua Takes Center Stage for October 2026 Community Day

Pokémon GO is putting Zorua in the spotlight for its October 2026 Community Day. The Tricky Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, giving Trainers a focused window to catch, evolve, and hunt for special versions of the featured Pokémon.

During the event, Trainers may encounter a Shiny Zorua or one with a Special Background. The game notes that it is also possible, if luck is on your side, to find a Zorua that has both traits.

Event Evolution Reward

Trainers who evolve Zorua during the three-hour event window, or up to four hours afterward, will receive a Zoroark that knows the Fast Attack Sucker Punch. That evolution bonus is one of the main draws of Community Day and gives players a clear reason to stock up on candy before the event ends.

Community Day Bonuses

Pokémon GO is pairing the featured spawn with a set of standard Community Day bonuses. These boosts are active during the event and are designed to make catching and trading more rewarding.

• 3x XP for catching Pokémon
• 2x Candy for catching Pokémon
• 2x chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
• Incense, excluding Daily Adventure Incense, activated during the event lasts three hours
• Lure Modules last one hour and may attract the featured Pokémon from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Community Day
• One additional Special Trade can be made, for a maximum of two for the day, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Community Day
• Trades require 50% less Stardust from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Community Day

The event also includes a snapshot surprise, so Trainers are encouraged to take a few photos during the day to see what appears.

Wild Encounters and Lure Module Activity

From 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Zorua will have a very high chance of appearing at PokéStops with active regular Lure Modules. Those Lure Module encounters can still produce Shiny Zorua, and they may also come with a Special Background. That extends the hunt beyond the main three-hour Community Day window and gives players additional opportunities to track down the featured Pokémon.

Community Day Research Rewards

Field Research tasks tied to catching Zorua will be available during Community Day. Completing those tasks can earn rewards such as Stardust, Ultra Balls, additional Zorua encounters, and more. Some Trainers may even encounter Zorua with a Special Background through Field Research.

A paid Community Day Special Research story will also be available for US$1.99, or the equivalent pricing tier in local currency. Trainers who complete it can earn three encounters with Zorua that have a Special Background, additional Zorua encounters, one Premium Battle Pass, one Rare Candy XL, and more.
