2026 Topps Chrome Baseball brings back Gold Logoman autograph relics
Topps Chrome Baseball is set to return on Wednesday, July 22, with one of the most attention-grabbing chase cards in the hobby. Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge and Tarik Skubal will each be honored with Topps Back to Back Dual Gold Logoman Autograph Relics cards in 2026 Topps Chrome Baseball.
Each card is a 1/1 and features two Gold MLB Logoman patches from the same player, one from each season. The cards will be included as redemption cards in the product.
The three players were selected after back-to-back award runs in 2024 and 2025. Ohtani and Judge won consecutive MVP awards, while Skubal won consecutive Cy Young Awards.
Shohei Ohtani Gold Logoman card stands out as a major chase
The Shohei Ohtani Back to Back Dual Gold Logoman Autograph Relic is expected to draw significant attention from collectors. Hobby experts have placed an estimated value of more than $5 million on the card.
Ohtani signed the card in two languages, with his autograph appearing in English at the top and in Japanese Kanji at the bottom. The first Gold Logoman patch comes from Ohtani's two-homer game on the road on Sept. 7, 2025. The second patch comes from his home run at Dodger Stadium on April 12, 2026.
Topps and MLB introduced the Gold MLB Logoman patch program in March 2025. Under the program, award winners wear a patch at the top back collar of their jerseys instead of the traditional red, white and blue patch.
Previous Ohtani and Judge Gold Logoman sales set the stage
The new Ohtani card arrives after a pair of notable sales tied to the Gold Logoman chase. Ohtani's 2025 Topps Chrome Baseball Gold MLB Logoman Autograph 1/1 sold for $3 million at Fanatics Collect in December 2025.
Another major sale followed in March 2026, when the 2025 Topps Chrome Baseball Dual MLB Gold Logoman Autograph 1/1 card featuring both Ohtani and Judge sold for $2.16 million at Fanatics Collect.
With both players already tied to record-level interest in the Gold Logoman format, their inclusion again in 2026 Topps Chrome Baseball gives the product another headline feature.
Aaron Judge headlines the box art and the MVP Buyback program returns
Judge is featured on the box cover for 2026 Topps Chrome Baseball, giving the product another recognizable centerpiece before collectors even open a pack.
The Topps MVP Buyback program is also returning. Participating hobby shops will buy back 2026 Topps Chrome Baseball cards featuring the 2026 MLB MVPs, and collectors can exchange those cards for store credit.
