Five New LEGO Pokémon Sets Are Up for Preorder

The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International have revealed five new additions to the LEGO Pokémon range, expanding the line with build-and-display sets centered on familiar Pokémon, iconic Trainers, and a Poké Ball packed with key moments from the series.

The new assortment includes LEGO Pokémon builds of Arcanine, Rayquaza, and Munchlax, along with a large brick-built version of Trainer Red and the LEGO Pokémon Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball. Several of the sets include minifigures, marking a notable step for the collaboration as it continues to blend Pokémon characters with LEGO display builds.

According to the announcement, the sets are available for preorder now at Pokémon Center and LEGO.com/Pokemon. Immediate purchase will begin on LEGO.com, in LEGO Stores, and at selected retailers in launch markets starting August 1, 2026. Two of the sets, LEGO Pokémon Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball and LEGO Pokémon Up-Scaled Red Minifigure, will arrive later on October 1, 2026.

LEGO Pokémon Rayquaza Brings a Legendary Pokémon to Brick Form

LEGO Pokémon Rayquaza (72168) is a 1,083-piece set that recreates one of the most recognizable Legendary Pokémon in brick form. The build is designed as a display piece and is packed with details intended to capture the look of the Pokémon.

The set also recreates the Sky Pillar scene from the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire games. In addition, it includes an exclusive minifigure of Zinnia, giving the set a direct tie to the game setting it references.

Rayquaza remains one of the most visually distinctive Legendary Pokémon, and this version is positioned as a detailed display build for collectors and fans who want a larger showcase model.

Arcanine Gets a Fully Posable LEGO Display Build

LEGO Pokémon Arcanine (72160) turns the Fire-type Pokémon into a 1,190-piece display model with full posability. The build is meant to capture Arcanine’s fiery personality, strong stance, and signature fur in LEGO brick form.

The announcement describes the set as a faithful recreation of Arcanine, first discovered in Kanto. With its poseable design, the model is built to work as both a display piece and a dynamic representation of the Pokémon’s movement and energy.

As one of the larger builds in the new wave, Arcanine adds another well-known Pokémon to the LEGO lineup and continues the focus on display-oriented sets rather than traditional playsets.

Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball Includes Multiple Minifigures

LEGO Pokémon Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball (72154) is the largest set in the group at 2,368 pieces. The build centers on a large brick-built Poké Ball that can open and close, revealing scenes tied to Pokémon Trainers’ journeys.

Inside the Poké Ball, fans will find a battle scene, Professor Oak’s laboratory, and additional moments from the Pokémon world. The set includes three minifigures: Professor Oak, Red, and a Picnicker. It also includes Pikachu and Eevee figures, which are described as the first of their kind in the LEGO Pokémon range.

The set stands out not only for its size but also for the number of character elements packed into the build. The combination of a display Poké Ball and multiple Trainer-focused scenes makes it one of the most story-driven entries in the launch lineup.

Up-Scaled Red Minifigure Highlights an Iconic Trainer

LEGO Pokémon Up-Scaled Red Minifigure (40868) gives the iconic Trainer Red a larger brick-built form. The set contains more than 930 pieces and presents Red in his familiar look, including his red hat, blue trousers, backpack, red vest with a pin attached, and a Poké Ball.

The build has posable arms and legs, along with a rotating head, allowing for different display options. The announcement positions the set as a supersized version of the character, designed to maximize both play and display potential.

Red has long been one of the most recognizable figures in Pokémon, and this set brings him into the LEGO Pokémon lineup in a format that emphasizes his classic design.

Munchlax Joins the Lineup as a 757-Piece Build

LEGO Pokémon Munchlax (72150) recreates the Big Eater Pokémon in a 757-piece build experience. The finished model measures over 18 cm high and is designed to reflect Munchlax’s playful personality.

The build includes posable arms and head, giving the figure some movement for display. It also features delicious treats within the build to represent Munchlax’s well-known appetite.

As one of the smaller sets in the wave by piece count, Munchlax still offers a detailed character build with a strong focus on personality and recognizable traits.

What the New LEGO Pokémon Range Adds to the Line

The five new sets continue the partnership between LEGO and Pokémon with a mix of Pokémon figures, Trainer-focused builds, and display pieces. The assortment covers Legendary Pokémon, a Kanto favorite, a popular hungry Pokémon, and two sets centered on Trainer Red and the broader world of Pokémon moments.

The announcement also highlights the first LEGO Pokémon minifigures of Professor Oak, Red, and a Picnicker, along with the first Pikachu and Eevee figures in the line. That makes the new wave especially notable for collectors following the growth of the LEGO Pokémon range.

Each set leans into a different part of the franchise. Rayquaza references a specific game scene, Arcanine emphasizes a fully posable display model, the Poké Ball set focuses on multiple Trainer moments, Red arrives as an up-scaled character build, and Munchlax brings a playful Pokémon figure with a display-friendly design.

Release Timing and Availability

Preorders are open now through Pokémon Center and LEGO.com/Pokemon. The sets will also be available for immediate purchase beginning August 1, 2026, on LEGO.com, in LEGO Stores, and at selected retailers in launch markets.

LEGO Pokémon Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball (72154) and LEGO Pokémon Up-Scaled Red Minifigure (40868) will follow on October 1, 2026.
