Jackson Chourio rookie card headlines Goldin auction during the World Series
With the Milwaukee Brewers holding a 2-0 series lead over Tampa Bay in the 2026 World Series, Jackson Chourio has moved into the spotlight on the field and in the hobby.
The Brewers outfielder, now in his third MLB season, has opened the World Series 4-for-9 with two runs scored, an RBI and two stolen bases through the first two games. Chourio, who finished third in National League Rookie of the Year voting in 2024, also has one of the most prominent rookie cards in the current market leading a major auction.
His 2024 Topps Chrome Update MLB Debut Rookie Patch Auto card is the featured item in Goldin’s Monthly Sports Elite Auction. The 1/1 card, described as Chourio’s most prestigious and sought-after card, had an early bid of $120,000.
Goldin auction runs through Nov. 14
The Chourio card is one of several notable baseball cards and collectibles available in the auction, which runs through Nov. 14. The timing places a number of high-end items in the market while the World Series is underway, adding extra attention to the top lots.
Among the other baseball highlights is Shohei Ohtani’s 2018 Bowman Chrome Rookie Autographs Gold Refractor signed rookie card. The card is graded BGS 9.5 and is identified as the highest-graded example of the card by BGS.
Also included are a pair of Under Armour cleats worn by Freddie Freeman in Game 7 of the 2025 World Series, when the Dodgers clinched their second straight title.
Ohtani, Freeman and other baseball highlights
Ohtani’s rookie autograph card stands out as one of the premier baseball cards in the sale, while Freeman’s game-used cleats offer a direct connection to a championship-clinching moment. Together with Chourio’s 1/1 rookie patch auto, the baseball portion of the auction brings together modern stars from different stages of their careers.
The auction also reflects the strong demand for premium rookie cards, on-card autographs and game-used memorabilia tied to marquee players and postseason moments.

LeBron is also featured on a dual autograph card with Victor Wembanyama. The 2023-24 Topps Mercury Chromium Dual Autographs SuperFractor #VW-LJ pairs two of the biggest NBA stars of the 21st century on one card.
Stephen Curry is represented by multiple high-end cards in the auction as well, including a 2009-10 Panini Playoff National Treasures Rookie Patch Auto graded BGS 9, a 2009-10 Topps Chrome Gold Refractor #101 Rookie graded BGS 9.5, and a 2025-26 Topps Chrome Update Sapphire Edition Autographs Padparadscha Curry-signed card.
Why Chourio’s card is drawing attention
Chourio’s rise on the field has helped elevate interest in his top rookie cards. A strong World Series showing only adds to the appeal of a 1/1 MLB Debut Rookie Patch Auto from 2024 Topps Chrome Update, especially in a market that continues to reward scarce, premium rookie autographs.
For collectors following the auction, the Chourio card sits alongside some of the most recognizable modern names in baseball and basketball, making the Goldin sale one of the more closely watched hobby events during the World Series.
