Cavan Sullivan Debut Patch Auto Sets a New Benchmark

The market for Cavan Sullivan cards has surged over the past month, and the latest milestone came with his 2025 Topps Chrome Rookie Debut Patch Auto. The card sold for $324,000 after an additional 24 hours of bidding due to issues with Alt's auction platform, pushing Sullivan into a new tier of high-end soccer card sales.

The result is especially notable because Sullivan's previous top sale had only recently been established. Last month, his 1/1 Rookie Arrival Auto from 2025 Topps Chrome sold for just over $90,000, a figure that was already a major step up from his earlier market highs. The new Debut Patch Auto sale more than tripled that mark.

How the Sale Changed Sullivan's Market

Sullivan's rise in the hobby has tracked closely with his on-field momentum. The article notes that he has posted six goals or assists in his last five games, helping fuel increased demand for his cards. As his play has improved, so has the ceiling on his biggest sales.

Before the recent surge, Sullivan's top sale had been his 2024-25 Panini Select Black Pitchside Signatures Auto 1/1, which sold for $12,100. That was later surpassed by the 2025 Topps Chrome MLS Rookie Arrival Patch Auto 1/1 at $90,158. The Debut Patch Auto then lifted the bar again at $324,000.

New Records for MLS and U.S. Soccer Cards

The sale did more than set a personal record for Sullivan. It also became the highest sale ever for an MLS card, overtaking a 2024 Topps Now MLS Lionel Messi/Steph Curry
