Shohei Ohtani, the star player for the Los Angeles Dodgers, hit his 200th Major League Baseball home run on Saturday afternoon, a milestone achievement in his illustrious career. The historic ball landed in the stands, where it was caught by a Tigers fan during the Dodgers-Tigers game in Detroit.

The fan, identified as Erik Wynkoop, recounted the moment to Bally Sports during the game broadcast. He shared that the ball had bounced near him, and he managed to grab it. Despite the ball's potential significant value as a memorabilia item, Wynkoop appeared unfazed by its importance.

In an interview with reporter Trevor Thompson, Wynkoop expressed a surprising willingness to part with the ball. "It’s just a ball," he said, suggesting that he would likely be willing to give it up if Ohtani wanted it.

The immediate fate of the ball remained unclear, but Wynkoop’s laid-back attitude highlighted a memorable interaction between a fan and a milestone moment in baseball history. As Ohtani continues to make headlines with his remarkable performances, this fan's casual approach to holding a piece of that history adds a unique twist to the story.
