The 2024 Topps Chrome Baseball collection will see an expanded base set, increasing from 220 to 300 cards, with nearly a third of these featuring rookies. Highlighting this release, Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz will not only feature on the product's box but also in the rookie card lineup.

Scheduled for release in late July, Chrome will be available in two formats. Standard Hobby boxes, priced at $189.99, will contain 24 packs, each with four cards and one guaranteed autograph. The Hobby Jumbo boxes, priced at $389.99, will offer 12 packs, each with 13 cards and three autographs.

The set includes several insert collections such as Radiating Rookies (20 cards), 1989 Topps Design (20 cards—a mix of rookies and veterans), and multiple others like Future Stars, Ultraviolet All Stars, and Chrome All-Etch, each featuring a blend of thematic and aesthetic variations. Autographs remain a major draw, with options ranging from Rookie Autographs to Legends Autographs featuring stars like Ken Griffey Jr. and Sandy Koufax, and innovative formats like Dual Autographs and On the Spot Die-Cut Autographs.

Relic cards, though less common in Chrome collections, will appear in the 2024 Topps Chrome Authentics subset, with possibilities for autographed versions. Additionally, the Topps Chrome MVP Buyback continues, offering cards from 2023 league MVPs such as Shohei Ohtani and Ronald Acuna, which can be redeemed for store credit at hobby shops, generally fetching a premium value.
